IYENGAR YOGA WORKSHOPS with VISITING TEACHERS
October 5-7, 2018
Yoga Practice as a Refuge
In a changing and chaotic world, our yoga practice can be an invaluable refuge when we approach it with sensitivity and commitment. Using the tools of Iyengar Yoga, we will explore how to cultivate skill in action and evenness of mind through the practice of asana (yoga postures) and pranayama (yogic breathing), we that we embody friendliness, compassion, joy, and equanimity.
Seattle Iyengar Yoga Studio welcomes Jarvis back this year for another educational and transformative weekend this October! Jarvis Chen is a Senior Intermediate Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher who practices and teaches in Boston. He assists his teacher Patricia Walden regularly and travels annually to India to study with the Iyengar family. Jarvis is also a social epidemiologist and public health researcher at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
